The COMT Review Course is an online review of the COMT curriculum and is designed for clinicians pursuing IAMT’s Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) designation. This course provides a structured review of the manual therapy principles, clinical reasoning frameworks, examination strategies, physiologic mechanisms, and treatment progressions emphasized throughout the full IAMT COMT curriculum.
The course is delivered through self-paced online modules and a scheduled live webinar. The live webinar will include a cohort of participants preparing for IAMT certification exams across all orthopedic tracks. While each clinician will study for their specific exam, the live webinar format allows for shared discussion, reinforced learning, and guided clarification of the content unique to the COMT examination. Dedicated COMT review segments will address the expectations, structure, and core knowledge components of the COMT exam.
Participants will revisit and integrate material from the Cervicothoracic, Lumbopelvic, Upper Quarter, and Lower Quarter Examination and Treatment courses, as well as Exercise Prescription, Myofascial Treatments and Taping, and Medical Screening and Clinical Decision Making principles. The goal is to strengthen clinical reasoning, enhance application proficiency, and ensure exam readiness through focused review and instructor support.
This course is recommended, but not required, for candidates preparing to sit for the COMT examination. We recommend all participants to have completed all required COMT curriculum courses prior to enrollment.
